  2. The text was very nice and cute, but leaving a teaching very important...
Well, I learned about this is that the money or the gold don´t make the happiness

I think I would have never wanted to leave my family, because for me are the most important thing in my life.

  4. *I had never heard about this Greek myth until now...which certainly gives a very important lesson
*I've learned with this myth and throughout the life, that all the money of the world or wealth is not realy important if you don't have love, friends , family, etc.
Even if you think for a second, you may realize that it not worth it; like King Midas, he finally realized that was really important in life, you have to be surrounded with real people. Love and be loved.
*If I were King Midas , I had asked to dionisio that in the world, it ends poverty and social inequality.

  5. The text was very nice but I had never read about “King Midas”. I think and I learned that money is not everything in life and we have to appreciate all that we have. We can be happy with little things.

If I were King Midas I wished that was no poverty in the world especially in Africa and children do not starve.

  7. Even when I'd heard about this myth, I'd never put real attention to it...Maybe I just listened it without thinking in the real intention that it has.
As some classmates wrote, I think that we're all going to understand that money doesn't matter and it doesn't make you happy when you don't have the most important things like friends and family. Sometimes LESS IS MORE! That's why I wouldn't wish anything special...maybe equality, it's not possible that people think that you're a better person because you have more money or material things...

  9. Most of the time we want to obtain things, but we don't realize that the things that we already have are enough or good for us, we just complain and the point in this story is that he was a man with amition and also was selfish, all he wanted was gold in a very extremy way, all that occurs to me is that we should be happy whith what we have although is good to want a bit more but be conscious of the consecuences, not in a extreme way like the king of course.

  11. I learned that sometimes you don't need too much to be happy, because
you need to see the most important things in the life.

If I were the king Midas maybe I would have wished to live in peace me
    and my daughter :)

  12. Is a very interesting reading, and it gives us one very important lesson... Money isn't everything in life and is most important our family or friends, people are more for us than money and we have to value it,and understand why we don't have to be selfish with people who we love.
And if I were king midas, I'd made another wish, to be with my daugther in peace.

  13. I think that to be happy isn't necessary get luxury things. This text explain the importance of appreciate the simple things, what isn't sow trough the eyes.
In this times, everyone lives for get the new machine, computer, movil phone, car, etc. Are very materialist and surface. That isn't good.
If i were the king Midas, I whised that dosn't exist the maximum luxury, and enjoy more the family and the simple things.

  14. It is a very interesting story and gives us a lesson.
It is said that more man gets, more he wants.
The King Midas wanted gold excessively.
At last he had an ablility to change all things gold whenever he touched it.
But he didn´t become happier than before.
He realized what is more important than gold in life.
That is affection and some food to live.

  15. The king Midas is a text very reflexive, I learned that happiness not depend of wealth and He shows that his daughter is more important than wealth.

If I were the King Midas, I wish everyone was happy with your family because for me the family is more important than anything.

  16. This is a good story with an interesting message because all the people think that the most important in the life is the money or to be successful, but we never reflect about the real problems of our society .
If I were king Midas ,I wished peace calm and a good family relationship in this bad moments.

  17. The story is really interesting, although I've heard similar stories, now I can say I see the main point of the story. You can have everything you have wished, but if you're alone, and you feel empty, the material things are nothing. The most important things in life are familiy and friends, the other things are secondary. And If I have been King Midas, I probably have wished that all my familiy and important friends have health for a long time.

  18. I love the story! It gives us one of the most wonderful lessons in our lives; " The most important things are our families, our feeling, our wealth as a people", not the material things, yes!, sometimes we need it, but aren't forever.
I would wish just equality or health for everyone!, I am not a material girl, so I wouldn't wish anything special.

  19. I think is not bad to be a little ambicious... but king midas was a fool, cause he should've asked just the cash! mmm... anyway... the lesson is: if you have the chance to ask a wish that change your life ask it in the right way! jerk!
I probably ask a boyfriend just like justin timberlake <3

  20. I learned that, you should be grateful of what you have and that you have to enjoy or try to enjoy the little things in life ,like some things that are priceless ,just like walk to the beach or watch a beautiful view.
Material things are temporary but memories and what you feel, enjoy and love is what really matters at least for me .
If I was the king I wish I could have the ability to be in different places when I want or ( is more like what I desire) that all my dreams and goals come true and to be helpful to others ,because there`s so much to do and watch in the world that I think our lives are not enough.

  21. The history was nice because I think the material it’s not the most important in the life. The material can be lost during the time, but the family is the more important because they can’t be change. I in the place of that king I have helped the poorest people and never have forgotten my daughter.

  22. The text was very interesting, and is the first time I read about King Midas'''' but leaves us many lessons, as that money is not the most important in our lives, because through it, we risk losing the beautiful relationship with our family and friends and put aside the most important things.

If I could make a wish, it would be that everyone in the world have good health and live in love and peace with all people.

  23. I learned that not everything that glitters is gold, there are things more Important than wealth, is to enjoy the simplest things, if i could ask for a wish, it would Fulfill my goals and dreams, also bring happiness to the people I love.

  24. I like very much!! I think that we can learn a lot of this story, because many people believe that the money is the most important thing in the world and I don’t think this… the most important is the other people, family, friends, boyfriends, everyone.
I think that I wish a nice home for my daughter’s new pet.

  25. + I learned that material wealth isn't more important than the people we love and ambition can often have negative consequences that we suffer.

+ If I were King Midas wished that all pets in the world have a home where they receive love and good care..because I love animals.

  26. This is a very good story about a greedy king , King Midas was a man who wants gold and he wish that everything that he touched became gold , so when his wish was fulfilled he can't not eat or drink water because everything was became gold , and he touched his daugther and the girl became gold too. The king midas dosen't know that the more important thing in life isn't gold is the family and love.

  27. *Well, that's something that everybody know, material things aren't the most important thing in the world, because that's just an addition that maybe could make you happy, but not at all.

*I haven't think much about it, but if I have a wish, maybe it could be that all my family and friends were happy, in everyway =).

    1. I've never heard the whole history, just some facts like names or the King Midas wish. As some classmates wrote, any material wealth will make you rich enough, eventually because with time everything's gone. I've learned and confirmed that no money, no house, no car, can beat love... And that's our real wealth

If I were Midas, I probably wished more love in each people hearts and less hate, intolerance and envy.

  29. :) 1º .- I've learned that we have more important things in our lives than material wealth ; like friends , family , and beloved ones., and we must learn to value what we have .
:) 2º .- If I have been King Midas, I probably have enjoyed the things that i have , try to live in peace with my daughter .
The most part of the people say that the money make you happy , you can have all the riches that you want , but if you have to lose or leave all the things that you really make it happy , The true , I prefer one hundred times be Poor !!

  30. I learned about this story, that you can't have everything that one wants, in fact, everybody can have everything that they want, but all has his price, and King Midas paid losing everything that he most loved for his greed.

If I were King Midas, My wish probably had been that the pride in the world disappear, because sometimes pride makes lose people very important in your life.

If I had a wish I would probably ask for more time with the people that I love
